Introduction
The Math Tournament at Berkeley is an organization that aims to spread the spirit of mathematical challenge throughout the Bay Area by presenting students with interesting, hand-crafted problems. We offer an environment where students, educators and mathematicians can come together and celebrate the spirit of mathematics.

5 members per team, mixed grade teams are acceptable
○ Competition Rules
- Individual Round: 20 Questions in 60 minutes,every member's performance on this round contributes 8% to the overall team score.
- Pacer Round :Team Round,20 short answer questions,students to be answered as a team in a live timed quiz, with the questions presented one at a time. Each question has a time limit of 1 minute, and students may work with their teams on questions. The team’s performance on this round contributes 10% to the overall team score.
- Team Round :Team Round,20 Question in 30 minutes. This round will account for 30% of the overall score.
- Puzzle Round :Team Round,60 minutes. This round will account for 20% of the overall score.
- Tiebreaker :5 Questions in 15 minutes. Only the top 10 contestants in Individual Round will qualify. The rankings are based on the specific time when the correct answers are submitted.

If, for some reason, the student is unable to attend after paying the fee, please contact us. If you apply before the registration deadline, 25% of the registration fee will be deducted as academic materials and service fees. If you apply after the registration deadline, no refund will be given.
